This is my cat zinfandel who was just thrilled that I got a camera.

XTi, 28-105 f/3.5-4.5 @105, f/4.5, 1/60, ISO 100 no PP

However she still loves me...(Shot by my wife, I'm holding the cat)

XTi, same lens as above, 100mm, f/5.0, 1/100, ISO 1600, no PP.  The picture is OOF but the expression is priceless.

In reality she is a playful kitty.  She even "helps" with the laundry:

XTi, same lens, 105mm, f/4.5, 1/25, ISO 400 slight OOF on the cat...oh well

And she is kinda a dork:

XTi, same lens, 105mm, f/11.0, 1/800, ISO 1600, I used picasa's "fill light" function to bring her shadowed face up, hence the noise there.  (not to mention that it was shot at such a high ISO...didn't notice till the cat was long gone from the window sill)

Can you tell I like my cat?  There is a reason for the expression in the first one. Just wait till I get a strobist kit!

The first and last one are the best (IQ). The last one is also my favorite - really nice.

Second Oren's opinion. Very nice cuddly cat you have.

1st and last ones are so sharp. Especially in the 1st one i liked how the wet tip of the cat's nose has been captured.

Thanks guys!  I posted the middle two, not because they are good pictures, but because they represent my cat so well.  I wish especially that second one had been better focused.

Thanks guys!

I enjoy both of these primes very much. I'm still watching for a killer deal on a EF 85 f1.8.

Here's Sundance in last year's Halloween costume:  pink tutu with matching Butterfly Bow.  Not sure what he'll wear this year.

Enjoy,

Dann Thombs,

Love the shots of your cats. I wish I could have a pretty kitty in my house. Unfortunately I am in college and my mom is allergic :(. Keep up the good work.

Here is my current pet... well it is my sisters stuffed animal, but I stole it for while. :P

Canon 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 USM at 54 F/4 1/45 ISO 100
