  • Speck of dirt in Canon 70-200 2.8 IS USM Lens.

Hi there... I just purchased the Canon 70-200 2.8L IS USM and thrilled about the picture quality and the bokeh this lens is providing me. I did however notice, as usual, once I got home, a very tiny speck of dust (a particle of some sort) that looks to reside just under the front glass. It is really...

  • L Series too good for Xsi?

I have been saving for a 300mm f/4 is, but I've heard that I shouldn't invest that much for the xsi. My question is that is there a notice able difference in image quality and sharpness between say the xsi and the 5d mark 2 with this lens attached? And if any one has sample pictures of the above...

  • help! Is this dust or lubrication/oil on my image sensor?

I was hoping I could ask for some of your opinions on this matter. I have a Canon Rebel XSi and I fear that I might have oil/lubrication on my image sensor. I bought a rocket blower the other day to see if I could blow off the dust and also ran the sensor cleaning function on the camera multiple times...

  • Prime Decision 85/60/50

I am looking for a portrait and nature prime lens to go on an XSi. I have it narrowed down to the 85 f/1.8 and the ef-s 60 2.8 macro...and why not throw in the 50 1.4 for discussion. Thanks for the thoughts...

  • Re: Canon 17-85 vs. Tamron 28-75

You say "focus is a little noisy" but compared to the 18-55 xsi kit lens, it should be better? Also, does the 2.8 eliminate the need for IS?

  • Re: Need help photographing tennis and baseball

While I only have two years of experience shooting sports, I should have some fairly useful advice because all of that experience has been behind and XTi for a year, and now an XSi for a year. I've shot a fair amount of tennis with an XSi, and what I've found is that the 3.5 fps is simply too...

  • So excited!

I've had an S2 IS for 3 years, and I've loved it. It's been a great camera for me. But as I got more into photography, I knew that I wanted something better, more capable, better IQ, etc. It was time for a D-SLR. After stumbling across this site, I spent the last couple of months deciding...
