I have a 5D Mark III and never have trouble with white balance. What metering mode are you using? The metering mode makes a big difference.

I have it but don't use it. I don't understand why photographers are pushing it so much. I find Twitter more useful.
Mine just shipped from Crutchfield today. So excited!
I want the Fujifilm Xpro 1 so bad but I just pre-ordered the 5DMarKIII so it may be a while.
Sounds great. The only thing I used to envy about Nikons were their flashes. No longer! Now all Canon should focus on is improving the sync speeds of their flashes.
I pre-ordered mine from Amazon the morning after the announcement. I'm so excited.
Much improved AF including AF points, ISO low light performance, and weather sealing are the big reason I'm upgrading. I've had the 5D Mark II since it came out. So it's time for a nice upgrade.
If you got the cash go for it. If not, stick with the 5D Mark II until you grow out of it and have enough cash saved up for the 5D Mark III.
I recommend the 35mm L over the 50mm. Pick up the 85mm L later unless you have a ton of cash to blow.
Thanks guys! One last thing, should I bother bringing my Gitzo GT0531 carbon fiber tripod to Japan for landscapes and long exposure shots?
Which should I buy? Is it more cost effective to buy a variable or individual ND filters? Is the vignetting on the thicker variable ND filters much of a problem?
Pick up some Cybersyncs.
Thanks guys. Yeah I forgot to mention that I shoot with a 5D Mark II. Landscape wise I plan on shooting cityscapes, architecture especially shrines and temples, and the cherry blossoms if they show...
I'm going to Japan in march. It will be my second time there! Photography will be a major part of my trip. I will be mainly photographing people and landscapes. Question is what lenses should I...
Can anyone here offer any advice on how to approach and talk to a professional photographer you admire to ask them to be a mentor to you and or work as an assistant? I'm sure pro photographers get a...
I got to play with the 1D X at the PDN photo expo this past week. It's very nice. I'm going to start saving up for one right now.
Does anyone know where I can buy a Firewire 800 compact flash card reader? I
Always ship via UPS or Fedex for camera gear.
Just send it to Canon. Most camera repair shops here send your lenses to Canon.
Yeah I agree it
Here's an example from the great Joe Mcnally..

Soft, out of focus, blurry in spots. I notice this technique used by a lot of Nikon shooters to be...
Maybe it's just me but I've noticed a lot of pro photographers who post their photos online, their photos are often soft. Is this a prevalent technique among a lot of pros or do they do it...
Enloops rock. Best rechargeble batteries you can get!
I recommend the Lastolite Ezyboxes. So easy to set up.
