If he used a relevant COC such as .019 he would have found: Subject distance 16 ft Depth of field Near limit 9.75 ft Far limit 44.5 ft Total 34.7 ft In front of subject 6.2 ft (18%) Behind subject 28.5 ft (82%) Hyperfocal distance 24.9 ft Circle of confusion 0.019 mm Therefore, I advise consider stopping down to be with in the performance

your shutter speed is far too low for a hand held image, and your minimum focus distance my be pushing it on that camera. Finally, you may not have enough light for accurate focusing, but certainly your shutter speed is way to low for 58mm it needs to be at least 1/focal length for hand holding with a full frame and 1/focal length x 1.6 for crops. I
