Sorry I don't have much experience with this kind of photography. But what I think: end of november are somewhat darker and colder days, so people might not wear really colorfull clothes etc. When using a black background, you create an even more dark picture. Of course the darker clothes are just a guess, but think about it. When you get a darker

No get the 7D. The 500D only has 20fps in 1080p mode I think. 7D got 30fps, so for a little action, this really is a major step up. The 2.8 lens can get you some killer video's with the shallow DOF...although it should be hard to make, but I think they can and then will kick some serious butt :D Good luck
