Just noticed the 300 2.8 is up to $4600 USD with the latest price increase... and I was going to buy myself one for Christmas this year.

200mm 2.0 sell for$ 5300(USA),$5100(gray Market) and $4800(refurb), 300mm2.8 sell for $4600(USA),$4400(gray market),and $4000(refurb)


so which one you think you will get? just curious. if you will go with the refurbished one, better do it now!

Most likely I'll be able to pick up the 300 2.8 for a little under $4k in a private sale and in great condition.





However, I'm also considering picking up the older non-IS version and using the extra couple thousand for something else.

ebay has couple of used one sell for under $4000 now, and if you use bing search, you will get extra $200 cash back, good luck!
