Here's one from our recent backpacking trip to Glacier National Park. This is an 8 minute exposure. For some reason the mountain was much sharper in this picture than in any of the 30 second exposures I took. I'll post a few more from this trip once I weed through the 800 or so pictures I took.

I spent the morning yesterday at an Old Engine Show (yearly event in Buckley Michigan). Somehing my wife and I like to go to every year (it's a real hick thing). Here are a few shots of a couple old steam tractors.

    Man,

That steam engine (tractor?) is neat. I've never seen one like that before. I especially like the shot where you can see them feeding the boiler.

Neat stuff. Thanks for showing it!

I've finally decided on printing my first panorama. This was the one from the top of Cadillac Mtn. in Acadia. The final size printed will be 100"x24". It will be made of 5 separate prints of 20x24 that Ill put on the wall.

5D III + 24-70 2.8L@ 24mm f8.0 1/50" ISO-100. I used a manfrotto 055xprob tripod with Vanguard SBH-200 ball head leveled with the head and leg bubbles and this was stitched together from about 8 shots in a pan. Converted to B+W in post.

I'm excited about it, and I'll post a picture of it on the wall once it gets here!

Tracked a big Elk at Lone Elk Sanctuary in St. Louis this weekend.

Ok, I lied...some guy told me he was sitting at the top of a hill in the woods. I got about 80 seed ticks for my effort.
