I must say I disagree with John and Jon - the third one is my favorite. All three are great captures of beautiful nature, but to me the third one stands out from many other beautiful images. The tree living on the edge adds something more than

    Joel...great and creative shot.....

Conrupl....why split hairs....all four are excellent and uniquely different.

This is one reason why I keep coming back to this forum; seeing pictures that inspire me to go out and shoot. Thanks for sharing.

Yup, maybe I hurried to make a comment when I saw the counter at 999...;-)

I also decided to celebrate with posting a photo from the weekend. It's current, it's a bird and it's B/W. It's also kind of a portrait, but since I made the 1000th postinthis thread I decided to post it here.

I'm no good at post processing but I'm trying to learn. Last week I picked up a simple process for a softfocus effect that looks quite good on some older portraits. The problem is I've gothooked up on this look and apply it on lots of photos that would probably be better off without it. In this case I added just a little that I think goes well with the thoughtful swan.
