Very nice. What did you shoot him with?

Very nice, Tom. Hummingbirds are tough (for me, anyhow [:)])

Well done, hummers are indeed hard to capture

Beautiful, maybe a few lumens too dark in the mid-tones but with a shot like this you take the best of what you can get.

Catching a hummer in flight is no easy task, many applause for that.

Indeed a great and wonderful shot, Tom!

Love the details and the sense of motion of the wings.

What focal length did you use plus exif data?

I'm guessing he was at 300mm. I'm just able to know that kind of stuff. [;)]

Hi Tom,

Nice pose and good clean background, but the image needs to be brighter. Hope it turns out better next time

nice shot and focus, the best i was able to get was on a feeder, but with these guys it is more about luck than anything. I tried to get this guy while divebombing others and gave up after a couple of hours..

For the exif data interest I used an EF f/4 300mm lens at 1/1300sec, f/4.0, ISO 100, and no flash. I have tried flash in the past but didn't like the "un-natural" look it gave me. Thanks for the nice comments.
