I bought the EF-S screen for the 40D, which I use regularly, but I don't notice much difference from the EF-D stock screen. The VF is a little brighter and the DOF preview seems more accurate, but that's about it. (using 2.8 or faster)

The Katz system seems to have everything I want, so I'm looking for some feedback - is it really like a rangefinder (split-screen/prism)? Is their "OptiBrite" finish worth getting? etc. whatever you'd like to share will be much appreciated.

I've read their metering guidelines and I don't anticipate any problems, just an adjustment. I shoot RAW and expose for a right-centered histogram, so I always do test shots anyway.

So - anyone use the Katz system? What do you think of it?

Hmmm...been a few days, no replies...guess the Katz system isn't so popular around here!

sure seems like a good idea - have the split screen / prism deal on a 40D - but maybe the solution is moving up to a 5D or a 1 body - I guess the VFs are much better on full-frame cameras...
