After much deliberation I've ordered a third refurbed 430EX (http://www.the-digital-picture.com/Reviews/Canon-430EX-Speedlite-Flash-Review.aspx]<span style="color: #003399;) from Adorama. The savings isn't what it used to be (compared to a new <span style="color: #003399;"]550EX (http://www.the-digital-picture.com/Reviews/Canon-430EX-II-Speedlite-Flash-Review.aspx]430EX II) but it will be identical to my current ones for simplicity sake.

Thanks for the help ya'lls help and patience, especially Sean. Now, I guess I'll hold out for a <span style="color: #003399;), 580EX II (http://www.the-digital-picture.com/Reviews/Canon-580EX-E-TTL-2-Speedlite-Flash-Review.aspx]580EXor <span style="color: #003399;)for my fourth. This may be a while seeing as I think a three light setupwill bevery capable.

A three-light setup is quite capable. I took this shot today with 3 lights, an umbrella, and a circular polarizer. I cropped it to look more like a still from a movie scene.

EXIF: Canon 50D, f/4.5, 1/250 sec, 55mm, ISO 100

Nice,I'm always impressed with the quality of your work.

I think may have to invest in some sort of radio triggers if I move things outside but don't plan any more purchases any time soon. I'm mostly shooting our six month old and he's notyet ready for the great outdoors anyway.

He'll be ready in no time, trust me. You might benefit most from the radio triggers once he's old enough to follow directions like "...sit still for 10 seconds!!" ;-)
