Lens choice help: Sigma 150mm vs 180mm macro lenses

Hi!





I have decided I want a medium to long range macro lens. I have no where near enough money to buy the canon 180mm L. I have come down to these two lenses. However there is not a review on this site for the 180mm Sigma macro lens. I was wondering if anyone out there had worked with both and could put up some pros and cons to help me decide. I am currently leaning towards the 150mm, but could be swayed.

I had the sigma 150 for a little while. Went back for the canon 180mm, primarily for reasons of feel. I didn't enjoy using the 150mm.





Not an image quality critique. Just handling.

With Canon's recent announcement of the HYBRID IS coming out soon (they mention macro applications), I'm waiting to see what they release in a Macro IS lens.
