I've noticed great response to the Where are you from?" (/forums/t/1687.aspx]"<span style="color: #888888;) and What do you do ?" (/forums/t/1692.aspx]"<span style="color: #888888;)post. Now, I'm wondering why more people don'thave any information in their "My Bio" portion of the forums?

I don't mean your life story but where you're from and some basic info on yourself as it relates to photography. (I know mine ("/members/Jarhead5811/default.aspx) is quite overboard but it's there if you're bored enough to read it.)

Geez Jarhead, now I know more about you than my own grandmother. Maybe I should give her a call?

I agree with the sentiment of your post, though. I've often wanted to see what part of the world someone was hailing us from--and maybe what they did for a living--only to find a blank bio. Then those two threads popped up (and nearly everyone posted!).

I've gradually edited it since I've joined. I like to include links to things that interest me. I know that's not exactly obvious.

I wasn't saying that it was a bad thing! I clicked on a few of the links... ;-)

On a similar idea. How about posting a link to any on-line galleries or blogs you may have with your photos.

I have some galleries at Pbase:http://www.pbase.com/roffee ("http://www.pbase.com/roffee)

And, just started a photo blog. http://lwroffee.wordpress.com/ ("http://lwroffee.wordpress.com/)

Anyone else?

Great info in there, I'm heading out so don't have time to read it all, but great idea.

And really like the use of the hotlinks within it.

Mine is plain and simple for now, I've got my own site which I blog about periodically.. http://pr0nstar.org/ ("http://pr0nstar.org/) No it's not a porn site [:O]

Thanks for the clarification. With your blog site named as it is and your site ID as it is, a person would be wary to click on your blog (and this is without the imagination running wild either).

I just updated mine...nad here's my blog Shoot At It ("http://shootatit.splinder.com). I didn't put the URL cause you might read shoot a tit, instead of shoot at it, since it's written without spaces ;)

Hmmm....you might get more hits by posting the URL [*-)].

So this thread got me to update my profile info, which is great.

Unfortunately, it got me interested in adding an RSS feed from my photoblog. I can't seem to figure out how. What do I need to type into the RSS feed box on my profile?
