Hey everybody...

I'm off to Europe next week and I want to try out daytime long exposures - Like people walking, water flowing, etc.

As much as I'd like to get a multi-coated B&W ND filter, my budget doesn't allow it. Does anybody have suggestions for a good filter that's relatively inexpensive?

I'd like to spend at max CAN $100 (US$92).

I'll be using a 77mm filter, and use a stepping ring to use the filter on my EF-S 17-85mm lens.

Any help is appreciated.

I bought this ("http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/8018-REG/B_W_65_072910_77mm_102_Neutral_Density.html#review s) B&W ND filter from B&H and love it. Fit's nicely in your price range, too. It's not MRC, but it's worked well regardless.

Looks good, Sean!

Thanks for the help and feedback. I look forward to trying out some new stuff!

Go to a junkyard with a A Circular Glass Cutter and find some nice tinted glass. Use some windex to clean it up and then some duct tape to mount onto your lens. good luck.
