Tamron SP AF 17-50mm f/2.8 XR DI-II VC (Vibration Compensation) LD Aspherical (IF) Zoom Lens for Canon EOS, 6 Year USA Warranty ("http://www.adorama.com/TM1750VEOS.html?searchinfo=Tamron+SP+AF+17-50mm+f%2f2.8+XR+DI-II+VC)

Good Find........ but Tamron needs to work on their focusing method more than adding stabilization to a very superb wide angle.A Tamron 17-50 f2.8 USM @ $730 would be much more valuable to me than a Tamron 17-50 f2.8 VC at that price.

Well Done Jarhead!!

At that price I'd rather cash up and get the Canon, seeing as it's only like $250 more.

Neat! Hopefully the price will drop a bit. I wouldn't replace my Tamron 17-50 with the new VC version unless it came down at least one Benjamin.

Now the site states:

"We’re sorry, this item is no longer available."

Seemed to be a mistake.

I'll bet they weren't supposed to list it, yet.

Luckly i didn't oder the non-VC version of this lens back 2 months ago. Now I have a better option. The VC is nice though for everyday use, and I expect Tamron to make the optics at least as good as the previous one.

I love 6 year warranty too :)

I expect Tamron to make the optics at least as good as the previous one.Agreed.

The Filter Size went from67mm on the current model to 72mm on the VC. So, they didn'tjust add VC to the older model.
