Im prepareing for this falls Elk trip. I live in central pennsylvania and we have a small heard just north of myself, somewere around 1500 (i think dont quote me on that). I was wondering if anyone had any tips of shooting them. Im normally there all day from sunrise to sunset. When I go its right in the middle of the rutting season so they normally are pretty active throughout the whole day.
Just wondered if anyone had any advice, or even just some sample photos to share.
Thanks
Joel
P.S. I will be shooting with a 40D, 70-200 2.8 IS sometimes combined with a 2x, as well as a 24-70 2.8.......our Elk aren't to skittish so you can sometimes get pretty close to them.
