Engadget has an article about the upcoming Canon EOS 7D ("http://www.engadget.com/2009/08/31/canon-eos-7d-video-specs-get-detailed/). In the leaked image it has the the 7D plus two lenses: EF-S 15mm-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM and the EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Lens.

Since these are EF-S lenses I suspect the EOS 7D is a cropped camera if real. But for me it the two new lenses that catch my eye. I wish they where a static F/2.8 but in any case I would like to know more about the EF-S 15mm-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM.

I'll just wait for Canon to release the "specs" on these so called miracle cameras, no pun intended....[:)]

I'm not going to believe any of these "leak" images and stories; I'll believe when Canon makes it official themselves.

Although if that is a real leaked image, the 15-85 does look a bit interesting, and the 7D itself looks nice.

Normally I don't believe the rumors, but this time I think they are correct about one thing: Canon is going to announce a 7D tomorrow.

Canon is releasing THREE new lenses:

Canon U.S.A. Introduces Three New EF and EF-S Lenses ("http://www.usa.canon.com/templatedata/pressrelease/20090901_ef_lens.html)

http://www.usa.canon.com/templatedata/pressrelease/20090901_ef_lens.html

EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM (with a suggested price of $1050 ("http://www.amazon.com/Canon-100mm-2-8L-Macro-Digital/dp/B002NEGTSI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=photo&qid=1251811267&sr=1-1))

EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM (with a suggested price of $800 ("http://www.amazon.com/Canon-15-85mm-3-5-5-6-Digital-Cameras/dp/B002NEGTTM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1251811344&sr =8-1))

EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lenses (with a suggested price of $500 ("http://www.amazon.com/Canon-18-135mm-3-5-5-6-Standard-Digital/dp/B002NEGTT2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1251811381&sr =1-1))

I can hardly wait for the review to see how they stack up. I am interested how the the image quality of 15-85mm will be compared to the 17-55 and especially the 17-18 (which it looks like it will be replacing).
