Hi everyone,

I've been scouring the internet for a resoucre on vintage tinting in photoshop. I'm currently working on a project that I would like to have an authentic retro vibe, very similar to the images seen in this portfolio:

If you have seen anything out there please share the link, or if you have any suggestions yourself that would be great! Thanks,

John

Shoot RAW play with white balance and tint, lower the black point and play with contrast until you achieve the look you are trying for.

I agree with Keith. This has helped me achieve the "look" I've wanted in the past.

There's numerous ways to do this. You can search through http://www.flickr.com/groups/photoshopsupport/discuss/ for suggestions.

Here's a quick recipe - the big key to this one is in the blue channel.

Make a curves adjustment layer
Boost the red channel a little
Take a bunch of the contrast out of the blue channel by flattening it out (lift up the leftmost point, and pull down the rightmost)
If it's too magenta for you, boost the green a little.
If you want a more washed out look, overlay a white layer.
