Hey Bryan

Could you do a reveiw of the Sigma 300-800mm? Or at least some ISO 112233 crops of it?

Yeah I have looked at that review, I wanted someone with a hands on comparison with the 300-800mm and the 800mm L. I'm so torn between these two lenses. I would have emailed Bryan directly, but my email doesn't work.

Hi John,

Thanks for the suggestion - that would definitelybe a fun lens to evaluate. Based on my currently-overloaded to-do list, I likely will not get to this one in the near future though. I can tell you that the 800 L is a great lens. :)

Looks like a great lens.

But, the price is also great.

I'd have a hard time justifying spending $6000 (not including the associated tripod mounts) to take a picture of a 50 cent squirrel.

Thanks Bryan for responding.

I probably won't be perchasing this lens in the near future either (1-2 years)so that's not a problem.
