In adobe Lightroom there are several crop overlays: rule of thirds, diagonal, Paisly shaped curve, etc. There is a lot info on rule of thirds, and I have a basic understanding of how to compose using the rule of thirds. Can any of you explain or suggest a reference to explain the other overlays and thier use in regards to composition.

Thanks

Thanks Elmo, These were all very informative and just what I was looking for. I did notice that all of these overlays seem to a variant of or differnt ways of visualizing the the rule of thirds----now, if I can just apply them in my composition.

Thanks Agian,

Bob
