Hi all,

I am shooting some Ballet this weekend. I did this last year with my Rebel xti, and shot at iso 1600, 1/125 f/2.8 (mostly with a 24-70L). I have upgraded to a 50D and plan on using the same 24-70 plus I will use a 50 1.4 and 85 1.8. I wish to push the shutter speed up a little.

Question: Would I get better results using iso 3200 or iso 1600 and post process. I plan on printing mostly 8x10 prints. This is not a paying gig, but I will be doing one for this ballet company soon and I wish to show them some more impressive print.

I welcome all PCC (Positive Constructive Comments).

Thanks, Tom

I'll allow Daniel to correct me, but I thinkwhat he has said in the past is thatthe IQ between ISO 1600 and ISO 3200 on your 50D will be similar. The main difference will be that at ISO 3200 you will lose one stop of highights.
