I know there are fans of all sorts of motor-sports out there and I know that you all have some great shots so I thought we could share them all around. I have not had much chance to do this kind of shooting, though I think it is a blast. Here are a couple of my shots.

Wow! These are really cool! I love the shot of 49 Keith B. And mattsartin I really like those two cars. I am a huge fan of classics and hot rods in their element are really cool. Mark, the two shots there are amazing. I want to see that kind of racing some time. Would rock my world. Even cooler would be to be able to own and race one of those cars!

Keep up the good work,

Samuel

It is an F430 but not sure if it's exactly the same car, there are a couple of minor cosmetic differences between the two. There are 2 additional sponsor stickers, 1 on the bottom of the door and 1 by the side air intake. Also, the chrome square on the rear of first car extends into the rear bumper, and on the second it ends right at the bumper. It's definitely the same team and driver (James Henley from LA).

Bill W, Love the vintage F1 and the Porsches. My dad remembers seeing the F1 cars when they were racing originally. :P

Mark and Itheone, Great F430 shots.

Also Itheone, the Motorcycles are great! And how about that Caterham!

Feeling old, I bought my first SLR ( Canon AE-1 ) to take pictures of the 1970's F-1 cars. I have since check the pictures from the digital 10Mpix rebel against the film pictures, and I think the Digitals are better.

Its a new series taking the extreme off roadersby storm. King of the Hammers started whats turned into an Ultra 4400 series rock/desert race class. Google KOH forlots ofaction packed pictures and youtube videos.

My picts are from flat sections and are boring, we were supporting these tworigs. Quite a bit of the course getsrocky, vertical climbs and falls, and narrow. So if a rig breaks and blocks the course, its not unusual for another one to drive right over it. Its just part of the sport.

This series of photos was taken during the Malaysia Super Series Round 5 at Sepang International Circuit 6th, December 2009.

Canon Malaysia invited 50 amateur photographers to come in andexperiencea day in the life of a professional race photographer. We were allowed inside of the F1 track and taste the exhilaration of thelifestyle. One that will remain in my memory forever.

It looks like your shots are being cropped on the right by the posting software. Make sure that you specify the width of your image as no more than 800. That should fix it.

Yeah, I noticed that. The photos were cropped to 900 x 600, which is apparently too wide.

Can anyone tell me if I can edit the original post to replace the chopped photos or even delete it and re-post?

Where it says (Reply) (More) on your post, click on the (more) button. Click edit when the more options appear. On occasion the option doesn't work (had it happen to me, and I've seen others mention it), but usually it's fine.

I haven't sorted through all of the shots yet, but if I find any more worth putting up, I may do it.

Here I am "co-piloting" my friend Pete's 911 race car. What a blast! Even as a passenger, I kind of got the "red mist".

Great photos!! I love the speed is some of the shots.

Bryan, the tension in the shot with the dragster motorbike is really good, very nice shot!

No, I loved it. I was irritated because we got passed by a guy in a 911 Cup Car at the start of the second lap, and the guy was being overly aggressive, driving rudely and making questionable moves on other cars. I wanted nothing more for the next few laps than to pass him back and leave him in our dust, which we methodically did, to my great satisfaction.
