Here is 1 shot taken with 16-35II, noise reduction in camera turned off. Processed in LR2.6. Adjusted white balance, then took original and ran it through Dfine2.0. Her are both, with no other adjustments made. The green light is a reflection from tv in front of Mason. The light behind him is the only light in the room, hence iso 25600, 1/30th@2.8. I think that the original retains pretty good detail(check his waffle shirt, and creases in leather couch), and Dfine does a pretty good job, but it does soften it just a bit. Original 1st....

Not bad at all [:P]

What about 100%?

To be honest...I think the first picture without processing is better looking. Especially the face and the clothes. The wall on the other hand...

I love the ISO posts, but what can you tell us about the AF system? I'm going to add a 7D or a 1D MK IV this summer to replace my 1D MKII for sports. I talked to a pro with a 7D last weekend and he is VERY happy with that body.

Same here I am need a new body for shooting surfing. I think the 7D will be my choice based on $$.

I haven't had the MarkIV long enough to tell you about the af yet. Only had it for 3 days...although everything I've read about it on other forums(DPReview), and posters there, say the af works superbly. One poster does BIF, and even went on to say that he has never had so many keepers... "http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1032&message=34192521 ("/forums/t/2875.aspx/)", then has a link to Flickr with more pics. not sure I will be able to give a definitive answer on AF anytime soon, but will try, nonetheless.

I'm no expert, but it looks to me like there is way less banding than with the 5DII at the same ISO.

Impressive.
