Was experimenting again with water drops but this time with the nifty-fifty. I had a higher success rate with the nifty-fifty than the EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS or it's because I had previous experience shooting water drops. [:D]

Hoping for your C&C. Thank you in advance.

Well, I'm afraid I can't critique it technically but I do think you did a very nice job; It's amazing what one can do with a $90 lens. I especially like the "shining pearl". Nice :)

Keep at it [H]

Very well done. Executed perfectly. The shine on the water droplet really sets the image apart.

Thank you Brendan and Sean! This one's a lucky shot for me! [:D]

The light looks great GreenBug! What was the problem when using the 18-55mm kitlens?

Thanks Joel! I'm not sure if there's a problem with the 18-55mm kit lens but I wasn't able to get shots similar to this. You may check my previous water drop photos with the kit lens here ("http://picasaweb.google.com/gelo.chiu/WaterDropProject?feat=directlink). Anyhow, I was able to read from somewhere that a fast lens will be better to use in water drops photography. [:D]

Looks great. I love the color and contrast. I think the centered composition works well for the concentric circles.

Thanks Daniel! I too like the deep blue color of the water. Umm.. about the composition, hahaha.. I didn't much thought of it as I was inclined to put it dead center but I kept in mind to put the point of interest in one-third from the top.

Congratulations on reaching over a thousand posts!
