I've combined extended exposures, with spot metering and hyperfocal distance focusing

I like it. Motion-blurred water is one of my favorites.

I like the camera angle (level horizon) of #2 best - and I think I like the cooler colors better as well. I like the lights in the bottom left of the frame being fully-included in the picture as in frame 1 a little better though.

Where was this one taken?

Very nice shot! I agree with Bryan. I like the cooler colors better ...

I like #2. I live in Rochester so I am familiar with the scene. Two things I would have done are 1) remove the wire going across the water to the billboard and 2) crop out the bridge surface showing in lower right hand corner.

#2 is definitely the winner, though #1 has a couple of treasures to the left that are rewarding to the eye. But moving the falls out of the center definitely improves the whole composition, and there's plenty to the right to please our eye until we wander back.

Also, the much more differentiated colors in #2 are great! In #1, it appears/projects mainly that maybe the white balance is off, but in #2, the water looks like water and the city looks like gold!

Thanks for the feedback. I knew the bridge was getting in there unfortunately. However it was so cold that day I had to just do it and get the heck outta there :)
