Hi All,

So I went to this place called Wakodahatchee Wetlands today and spent some time with the breeding herons and other waterbirds. It was a fantastic trip; Birds were nesting all over the place, but most were nesting on small islands in the middle of the water out of reach of my lens. And then this Nikon guy with a 200-400 w/ 1.4x TC walks up. [8o|][8o|][8o|]

Anyway, I thought I'd share a couple of my better images from today. All comments and critique are welcome! All taken with my trusty 7D and 300 f/4L IS lens.

Breeding Great Blue Heron, f/8.0, 1/800, ISO 500. Manual Exposure, Handheld.

edit: the saturation came out really bad after resizing especially on the 2nd and 3rd ones, I think I should saturate them before posting...

Very nice Brenden. I like the 1st one the best. Overall I'd say you a great job with exposure and composition. The background on the second one is a little busy but I'm sure there was nothing you could do about that. It looks like you're really enjoying Florida!

Thanks Mark. I don't like the background too much either and maybe I could've used a wider aperture, but I just got sick of shooting at f/5.6 and having half of the bird OOF. Happened too many times [8o|]
