Does anybody habe experience with the above Zoom-lens.

I think about buying this lens, because it is small and lightweighted. The price is very attractiv.Nevertheless I hesitate due to concerns about the quality in any respect.

The Canon 28-300 is very heavy about 1600 gr. and cost about 2600 USD. I don´t know what to do.

I use Canon EF-L 24-105, a 16-35 and a 70-300. These lenses togehter with a body and a flash

580 EX, the weight is becoming a problem.

Thanks in advance for your reply.

You have a 4:1 walkaround zoom, a 2:1 wide, and a 4:1 telephoto zoom, two of which are L glass.

It seems to be fairly well accepted that the greater the zoom range, the lower the image quality. The L superzoom (i.e. the 28-300 you mention initially) is an exception to this, somewhat, only because of its weight and price.

Trying an inexpensive, lightweight, third-party superzoom is likely to result in disappointing image quality, though I'm not speaking from experience on this lens.
