Sorry I have been so sporadic about posting this topic over the last month or so. I will try to do better from now on.

Lets see the pics! Still processing mine and will post later.

Flower against the blurred background of changing leaves. I would have like the picture a lot better if I would have broken all the branches behind the flower, but being a good naturalist I did not. A tripod also would have been nice. 85mm, f/3.5, 1/160s.

I love the way the sun is shining thru the tree about and the colors! I have been trying all week to get the sun positioned just right to get that exact affect but all I end up with is an overexposed circle!

This is one of the best I

Thanks. Here is another from the same series of me trying to capture the effect. A little more emphasis on the leaves rather than the sun.

This beautifulbird was on display courtesy of a bird rescue institute. It is actually blind, having sadly been shot at a young age.

Nice Autum photos everyone. Springtime in NZ.

That forested headland looks like a beautiful walk Yoni. You said EXIF is on Flickr but I don't see where when I go there? Was curious about the pine needle shot...

Went to the zoo last week for a special trip including hand feeding ring-tailed lemurs and cotton-top tamarins.
Had my hands too full with them to tote an SLR but got to take a few photos after that...

This one is shot through glass at an angle and try as I might I couldn't shade the glass enough so it looks like flare on the right.

In order to view the EXIF, you had to follow the link, then click on the picture to go to its main page. From there, you can click "Actions" to view the EXIF Info. Or, else, click here ("http://www.flickr.com/photos/yonirab/5080959998/meta/in/photostream/).

Thanks, Sean. One quick note is that I found a slightly faster way to get to the EXIF page, which is to click on the camera name at the top right on the photo's main page. "This photo was taken on _<date>_ using a _<camera>_" If the camera used is not listed then the EXIF isn't included or is hidden.

Paul, that walk is around a provincial park on Hornby Island, BC called Helliwell Park - named after the family who donated the land. It's quite unique to have the bare grass above cliffs like that around here and it can get very windy :) In most places it's all trees right to the edge. All of the photos in my post were from that walk using the 70-200F4L. It is a beautiful place. A few times recently I've gone on walks with just one lens, even if it's a prime, as an exercise to use the lens outside of what I think of as its intended purpose.

A varied week this week. The first couple of koalas were in a tree just outside the RSL(Returned Servicemens League) in the main street where I live. The eucalypt tree is the only source of food for these critters and we often get them in our garden.

I was in DC last week and managed to get a little time on the Mall:

I am starting to play with BIFs....not easy....they don't stay still......but I liked this one... /resized-image.ashx/__size/800x0/__key/CommunityServer-Components-UserFiles/00-00-00-46-64-Washington+DC/DC-3.JPG

It is a little known fact, but the Washington Monument has to be physically supported by tourists[:P]....she has photographic evidence (and actually, considering the lean in some of my photos, it is no wonder [:P])

Spectacular shots Gregg, love the detail and surreal effect of the HDR. Lens body combo seems to work very well.

Hey Steve...thank you very much. The lens body combo is FANTASTIC!! Blows away the 16-35ll I got rid of to buy the 14-24G. There is another thread that I have that says Colosseum HDR
