I took this picture when I was skiing up north with my family. I happened to catch some strange colors in that cloud - do you know why the picture ended up looking like that? I didn't use any filters =)

That's pretty awesome, I would have to imagine that its the way the sun is hitting the clouds.
looks more lie moire happening i that shot to me
were you stacking filters ... how much processing was involved...something doesnt seem to add up

I agree with Colin, looks like water vapor in the clouds... rainbows, coronas

I didn't use any filters, and the post processing was just some contrast and some saturation -very little of both-
Yes, I thought it was rainbows too... I think it's kind of pretty anyway =)

I too saw these colors in cloud only for once many years ago...
As far I can remember it was a after a bit shower.

I agree, the engineer in me is screaming "light refraction"[:)]
I like the shot, I think the colors give it a sense of realism.
