If there's a thread for the goose, you need two threads for the ducks. Duck Duck Goose. Ba dum bum.

Maybe they should try the "I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine" deal ...

Lovely shots everyone, I particularly like the mallards in flight that a few of you have captured.

Bob, you just beat me to it with the shoveler. Here's mine anyway:

5D Mark II, EF100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM @ 400mm, f/8, 1/640s, ISO 100

It's important to "get all your ducks in a row" for a good in-flight composition:

Upland geese at Lake Roca, Tierra Del Fuego:

5D Mark II, EF100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM @ 400mm, f/8, 1/400s, ISO 250

Egyptian geese near the Mara River, Kenya:
[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/apstringer/5624584562/]http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5265/5624584562_f21203835b_b.jpg (http://www.flickr.com/photos/apstringer/5624584562/)
1D Mark IV, EF300mm f/2.8L IS USM +1.4x @ f/4, 1/640, ISO 200

Before anybody tells me I've posted in the wrong thread, these species are geese by name, but not by taxonomy. They are classified in the Tadorninae sub-family, so theyare more closely related to shelducks than geese. Geese belongin the Anserinae sub-family.
