Kodak External Flash jerry-rigged for a Canon?

I have a P20 external flash from Kodak that I used to use for my old kodak dslr. Does anybody know of any possible way to jerry rig it to be able to work at all with a Canon Rebel XS? I do not have any money to purcahse a canon external flash at the moment, and I do not want old flash to go to waste. Maybe some combination of extension cords, I have no idea. ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated. I have no idea if this could even be possible.

You should be able to. You may need an adaptor like the Wein safe sync.

It looks like you will have to operate the flash in manuel mode. In order to get good exposure you will need to use a flash meter or do a lot of testing to learn what settings at what distance.

It will work with your cameras ETTL II at a very reasonable price.
