I don't understand how to read the ISO chart samples for glass sharpness that are posted on the lens reviews? Please help me out.

Here's one example of how to use the chart:


Go to any lens.


Click ISO 12233.


Select the same lens (again) from the drop down in the top right.


Select a new aperture on the right side (e.g. f/8.0).


Mouse over the image to compare the lens performance from wide open to stopped down.


The top is center performance. The bottom is edge performance.


You can convert the numbers on the chart to line pairs per picture height if desired (LP/PH).
