My cub scout and I attended a banquet/ceremony this weekend for Cub Scouts crossing over to Boy Scouts. It was a new experience for both of us.

okay, i'll bite. it seems that there's been a drop off of the number of entries of late. I was in Yosemite Valley, California earlier this week and despite there being not a flake of snow on the Valley floor, my two buddies and I still managed to have a great time getting up at some woefully early hours to catch the morning atmosphere.

OK, one more for the landscape category: Yesterday I had the afternoon completely blank so I went for a walk with the camera. The weather wasn't too fun with light rain and heavy fog, but still there were some keepers - at the moment this one's my favorite from yesterday.

Make that +4

I was hoping to get some clean flakes, but nature wasn't cooperating. I did like this one.

Some great shots here! There dosn't seem to be the same quantity of shots being entered in these every week as there used to be, but the quality of the shots entered is definately there! Very tough to pick the winners.

For the portrait category, the winner is David's Lynx. Very nice shot of an elusive animal. Looks ready to pounce!

The winner of the landscape categor is Erno's Reflections on the Merced. Stunning shot. Feels very unreal with the light mist and clear reflections. Well done.

Yay me, and congrats Erno. Thanks Stephen. That is funny! I appreciate the efforts made to keep these weekly assignments an ongoing thing...if it can get me off the couch a few days a month to motivate me to take some photos, all the better.
