2014 - Image of the Week #30

This entry period for Week 30 will be from Monday July 21st through/including Sunday July 26th.


Only two categories of images will be judged:


Portraits -- Anything with eyes; people or animals
Landscape -- Country, town, city, sea, abstract, things (water drops, smoke, flowers, candles, and so on)


Each category will have a single winner each week. This week will be judged by Kayaker72.


Please supply a title for your image and which category it is entering. Enter as many times as you would like, old or new images.

Ok...judging is never easy for me but this week was even harder. In the end, there are several worthy photographs, but I select:

Portrait: clemmb "Mom & baby girl." This has a real timeless quality for me that set it apart from the others. Excellently done.

Honorable Mentions: Sean, Joel and Jayson. All of which I have oscillated between before selecting Mark's shot. Excellent work everyone.

Landscape: Sean Setters "Overton County Fair 2014" A great image with a bit of a ethereal feel for me.

Honorable Mention: Jerrytech1-Bean town. Great shot and composition. We do not see enough architectural shots in this forum, which set this shot apart to an extent. But, in the end, I may have a soft spot for good motion blur.
