On behalf of Joel Eade, I would like to present Assignment #69: High Dynamic Range

As described by Joel:

It can be multiple bracketed exposures or a single image anywhere from a natural appearing HDR image to over-the-top all out grunge.

I did a 3 shot HDR of this sunset. Clouds had covered the sunset itself so I turned and shot the other way. This was one of my first shots with a fisheye and I didn't tripod handy so I could use my graduated filters. Thus, I shot HDR.

Thanks everyone --- that's a high honour coming from this accomplished group.

This waterfall was one of the most impressive that I've ever come across, and it also happened to be on a perfect day for photography. The HDR technique worked wonders in this case. Just for reference, here is the middle shot of my HDR sequence... you can see how awful it is on its own.
