Speedlite 430EX II - Anyone miss not having the 7 degree tilt-down for macro?

I've been using the 540EZ on manual mode, tilted down with a Pro-Max Softbox. I'm thinking that because the 430EZ is shorter, the tilt-down function may be irrelevant.


Also, the 580EX is out of my budget, as well as the macro Speedlites. And the 430ex seems like a nice all around flash...

The tilt-down function is invaluable for macro work. If you can't afford a new 580EX II, I'd recommend buying a used 580EX (Mark I). They are about the same price as a new 430EX II.
