Welcome to TDP forum's "Image of the Week" competition. Each week photographers may submit their images to compete for the title of "Image of the Week." Weekly winners will then compete on a monthly, quarterly and finally in an annual poll for the title of "TDP Image of the Year."

There will be only one weekly winner.

This entry period for Week 1 will be from Monday December 29th through/including Sunday January 4th.
Please supply a title for your image.
This is an open competition for landscape, portrait, architectural, macro and any other appropriate photographic style.
Images should have been either recently taken or processed.
Enter as many times as you would like.

This week will be judged by jamsus.

Good luck!!

Here's one from yesterday. I hope I'll be able to participate more often from now on.

"Red in the Morning"... This morning's sunrise in Banff. A storm front is moving in today, with snow on the way.

Here we are, seems the holidays have taken away a bit of participation, but the images are good!

Personally i like all of them, but the decision was between Tounis & Jonathan Huyer, at last i choose Jonathan because i liked the soft touch of "pink" and the composition (lake level and top-of-the-mountain \ top of picture are same "height"), but really cool job at Tounis too! if the scene was lit only by the moon... probably i would have preferred that one!

Cls, Jerry & Jayson nice pictures too, but the others strucked me in different ways.

Good year to everyone!

Andrea

Thanks everyone. Andrea, I agree that Tounis' shot is very captivating... I really like the combination of dramatic sky and peaceful landscape.

My photo in Banff was taken at another sure-fire spot for sunrises, and it's always fun going there because you just don't know what's going to happen. Given that it was fairly windy, I opted for a long exposure to blur the clouds. My Lee Big Stopper gave me a 3-minute exposure, which was perfect.
