On behalf of NFLD Stephen, I would like to present the topic for Assignment #73: Minimized Color
As described by NFLD Stephen:
We're just getting into winter here in northeastern Canada and that means snow. I like snow, but it tends to be rather...well...white. Sometimes it can make for drearier photos with the lack of color everywhere, but I've been trying to look at that as a challenge. So for this assignment, I'd like to see photos with a distinct lack of color. I don't mean black and white exactly, but more photos which don't rely heavily on color as a compositional element. I won't post any examples as I don't want to influence the direction of everyone's creativity. I'll stress that photos can have any topic or subject, but should not rely on color to make the photo "pop".
Normal rules apply, you may enter as many times as you wish, but unless you specify otherwise, only the first entrant will be judged.
The submission period is through February 1st.
Good luck
Update: Poll has been added and will run through Saturday morning (7:30am Central Time).
