It's a shame they took down the old video of how they'd make a 500mm f/4L USM IS lens, even if it did get old always hearing the narrator say "the Canon five hundred millimeter eff four ell you ess emm eye ess lens" EVERY TIME. :) They sure go through a lot of work to get the glass "right".
