View Full Version : Blue Jay feathers with 24-70 IS?

How was the photo of the blue jay's feathers done with the 24-70 IS lens for the lens review? That's incredibly close. I was lucky to get within a foot of a blue jay who eventually learned how to feed on his own, but that was an unusual circumstance because he wouldn't fly away when I approached.

I am not sure. I know they've nursed a couple of birds back to health. So, that may be a possibility. But, my guess, some level of taxidermy was involved.
