"Hidden in the Red Tree"

In my garden i have a nice red plums tree. During the morning, many birds finds a hiding place between the branches of the tree.
So, conscientiously and without "shame" :p i sometimes bring with me to the bathroom, the Reflex! :)
The conditions where a bit prohibitive (backlight, 1\40 with 480mm focal range) but... well, sometimes luck helps.
And always bring your camera. Everywhere.

Been awhile since I've put one here, so here is one from a trip to Bermuda in January:

There's tough competition as always. Here's an early morning flower with a water drop hanging from the flower.

"Back Yard Deer"

I occasionally have visitors other than birds to my back yard. Lately we have been seeing deer quite frequently. The trick is trying to open a door and snap some images without frightening them away:)

While I was trying to work in the yard this morning a clump of flowers caught my eye and then I just had to play with it a little after that. Here's to distractions!

By a ripple I have chosen NFLD Stephen and his Stormy Seas, as this weeks winner. I really got the sense of an oncoming storm, and liked the tension and the overall scene.

Congrats, and I raise a Dark'n'Stormy as it just seems appropriate for a Bermuda shot.

Thanks! Really honored as there are some excellent shots here (as always).

jrw: I wish I had thought of that for the image title...definitely fitting for a Bermuda shot.

With the date you put on the photo on Flickr it seems we were there the week before you. Wonder if we passed each other in the airport? And yes there was a tough decision to be made as to which rum based concoction was the champion of the stay!

We were there Jan 17-24; if you passed us in the airport you probably met our 2-year old son...he explores a lot! As for the rum I think the variety is the key, the more the better!
