I have been a loyal SanDisk user even when I only had a P&S. Whenever I needed a reliable Flash card, I would always choose SanDisk.

In May the 128GB Micro SD for my phone died. So is sent it to SanDisk for Warranty replacement. After first loosing the package they finally admitted that they had in fact received the card and it was faulty.

Well it's now September and still no replacement card. They have been providing me with tracking numbers that either don't work or say it's still in the US.

Is it just me or do you have to wait a lifetime for a replacement?

I had an Extreme III SDHC die. I never bothered with trying to get a replacement. I switched to Lexar and haven't had any trouble, though I'm too small of a sample size to mean anything.

That is certainly a terrible way to treat customers!
Once I looked into the specs for read and write speeds I looked deeper into the different manufacturers. Other than the different classes of cards they all have similar real world results as they are all using similar technology. No big surprise there.
Choose to use Kingston mostly as they are so much less costly than the others.

I have to admit I am annoyed that you have to search out the write speed and even that is not assurance that it actually performs at that level.

I am hopeful that Canon buffers in their generation of cameras anticipate faster cards. Certainly ran into buffer issues w/ the 5DSr

Update

New tracking number received!

I'm so happy that they are willing to even send me an email. I feel blessed.

Update

Not only did this new tracking number not work, they have stopped responding to my emails.

So what you're saying is that you're Sans Disk?

So most of the chips I've purchased in the last few years have been Lexar, I'm starting to think I made the right choice.

At the camera shop that I bought my SanDisk CF cards, they said if I ever have a problem with the card I just need to bring it back to them, and they will replace it with stock at the store. I have never had a problem to prove out if it actually works that way - but any other issues I have had with cameras and lenses they always took care of get things repaired (including packaging shipping, and if I wanted they would ship to my house to save me the 150 mile round trip to town). Even repairs seem to be less expensive if I let them take care of it. For me, buying from the big box stores isn't really any cheaper (camera shop will match), and if you do buy from the big box store, their responsibility as a retailer seems to end when you step out the door... a little exaggerated, but not much.

Sorry - now I am just on a bit of a rant.
