Remote switch

Howdyall.


I was just wondering if my canon 40D has to be switched off everytime I plug in and out the remote switch RS-80N3.

I never turn off my 10D to plug in the RS-80N3, and I nver turn the camera off to unplug it, either. I've never had any problems. Hope this helps.
