I would like to know whether I can still put on my lens cap that comes with my 18-200mm f3.5-5.6 IS lens if I mounted a HOYA HD CPL on it? Filter size is 72mm.

I have the 77mm Hoya HD CP filter for my 100-400mm and the lens cap fits just fine.
