Nissin 622 (instead of Vivitar 285HV)?

can anyone say whether the Nissin 622 strobe which, unlike the Vivitar, is available here in the EU, has a similar quality and could be considered a simililarly-cheap-but-similarly-good alternative to the Vivitar, which seems to have some friends on this forum?
