Little question due to misunderstanding, or not understading at all
Well, I have a question concerning external flash units for the XSi/450D. I didn't really get what flash, if there's only one -or more?-, is compatible with the body. I didn't find it on Bryan's reviews -maybe I just didn't see it-.
So, any insights?
All suggestions are much appreciated,
thank
andy

All of Canon's EX series Speedlites are compatible with the XSi/450D. These are currently the 580EX II, the 430EX II, and the 220EX. I would recommend getting at least the 430EX.

Yes I also agree, either an EX 430 or EX 580 (if you've got the budget). To add on to the previous advice, I'd also suggest getting a lightsphere. The lightsphere will diffuse your flash and give it a more natural light feel.
You can get the Gary Fong version, but I'm currently using the "Knock off" version on my 580EX II and loving it. Used it for weddings, and other events and its worked beautifully.
Here's where I got mine: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.7384
My new 5D Mark II definitely works easier with the 580EX II vs. my old 30D

True, all Canon Speedlite flashes should be capatible with all EOS bodies. I have the 430EX II and I think it's good for my purposes. I use it on my XTi, and it works great.
