24-105 f4 L lens sound...

hi everyone! just want to ask especially those who have this lens. i hear a slight sound whenever i half press the shutter button (aside from the sound when the lens lock on a subject), i'm wondering is this theIS mechanism working while focusing on a subject? i just got the lens today, i'm wondering if there's something wrong with it. thanks!

Yes..it is IS mechanism sound and absolutely normal. Mine makes the same sound each time I half-press the shutter release with IS on.
