What did you shoot? Dec 6- Dec 12th.

I'm still shooting birds here at the moment, it has been hot and wet. Lorikeets are feeding on the flowers, they get rowdy from all the nectar by the afternoon.

I call this one splendor in the grass. We have a whippet and three Italian greyhounds, all short coats and they love the summer sun. They go out there and lie like lizards.

Went for a photo walk one evening last week. Temperature with wind chill was around 10 °F (-12 °C). No rowdy lorikeets or growing grass here, but some chilly fingertips!!

Until now I thought high art was that one of the dogs playing pool.

SteveU, actually fine art is the one of the dogs playing poker, instead of pool. As for me being an artist with beret and easel, guily as charged. Actually, I was eating some fried chicken when I took the forest photo. I had just cleaned my lens with my t-shirt during set up and I apparantly smeared some of the grease onto the lens. Maybe I can fix it in post. Know of any good degreasing actions/software?

I've got so much to learn Erno, I don't know much about software and PP is one of the first things I do in the morning.


But most dishwashers have a glass cycle, that should fix your greasy lens.


I took this shot of a wallaby across the road from my place late Sunday afternoon. There is a new housing development and they made a big hole in the bush and cleared out enough space for about 80 house lots. It is supposed to be a "green" site so they left holes in the fence and these critters can come and go as they please. This little one was using its ears like radar and it was too dark to stop it properly. I pulled up in the car and rested the lens on the window. All the other one bolted and this little one stayed put. probably about 3 feet high.

I had to go with f/1.4, ISO 640 w/ this since the only light in the room was from the Christmas tree. I would have moved to turn on some lights but "my shadow" a.k.a Lucky would have moved with me and the moment would have been lost! F/4 and lower ISO would have been preferable ...
