Zeiss 85mm f/1.4 ZE lens for Canon EOS
What do you think of the quality of this lens? These were taken today
with my new lens that I purchased via my discount at a camera company I
work for part time in town.
Canon EOS 7D, Zeiss 85mm f/1.4 at 1.8, 1.8 and 2.0 respectively. All at ISO 200. Shot in JPEG with no editing and downsized for this post.
Any comments or questions on the lens or suggestions otherwise?

They are very nice shots Jordan, I'm a bit of fan of those Zeiss lenses. Nice focus, nice background.
Nice pick up.
I meant the lens.[:P]

I think the lens makes her belly look fat:) Seriously, the lens is only part of the trick and you got your end nailed. Could use a little more pop in color ( except for that purple-ish crate) but not much. That lens did well with no work done. Well done Jordan. Wish I had half the skill.

I was just playing on that one.
Those pics did seem pretty sharp and drops off to smooth bokeh right behind your subject. I was driving to work and thought about the "pop" thing I said. I think it's because of the cloudy day and had nothing to do with the lens. All the colors that are there are sharp and distinct unlike my lens that has fringes of junk all over the place when you have white stuff next to not-so-white stuff. Isn't it awesome to have a lens that you can just take a picture andlet them see it full sizeand not worry about sitting behind a screen first to try and fix things.
