China
Hi All,
We've been back a week, are nearly in sync with local time, and I've finally made it through the post processing of all the images from the trip.
The travel itself was problematic - on the way out, we were involuntarily bumped from an overbooked flight, and missed a day in China and the trip to the Great Wall. Most of our luggage was delayed on the way there, catching up with us several days later in Nanjing. Luckily, the one checked bag that made it on time was the one with the clothes for our daughters. Some or our luggage was lost on the way home, too. Ugh.
We spend a night and half a day in Beijing, seeing onlyTiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. One day later, we were in Nanjing and meeting our new daughter, Jie Chun. [:D]

We were in Nanjing through the week, then went to Guangzhou for a week to complete the US visa process. Along the way, we saw some interesting sights (gates, temples, beautifully-lit city streets, vibrant and bustling markets) and ate some great food (pigeon, fish heads, and other local delicacies).
Now we're all relaxing at home, bonding, playing, and getting back to normal (if having two little girls running around can be called normal...).
A few images from the trip are posted HERE.
Thanks for all of your advice and support, everyone!

Re: China
Welcome back John,
It looks like your trip on the whole was a success. Congratulations again on the new daughter. [:D]
I checked out some of your Flickr photos, and they are great as always. It is a shame you missed the Great Wall, but it will give you another good reason to revisit with Jie Chun in the future. [;)]

Re: China
Very nice set of photos, John! Those two little sweethearts are well on their way to developing a sisterly bond that will last a lifetime!
BTW - Good luck to you in being outnumbered against 3 females in your household ...it will get interesting :)

Fantastic photos and a beautiful story John, congratulations.
I like the golds and reds in your photos, no better place on earth for those colours, I think.
